Many years ago I created a blog called 'One Life, a lot of Cookbooks'. The thinking was it would spur me on to make recipes from the many cookbooks I had, most of which were gathering dust.
The plan was to follow a recipe, show the end result, then give my verdict. I'm not the best cook in the world, but I give it a go, and I have no qualms in showing disasters as well as successes.
The blog had not been updated for several years. I forgot about it, when I found it again I thought it would be nice to update it from time to time. Total fail, I've tried my best to get into the account but it's just not happening. So I've linked up to it here so it can still be viewed and have started afresh, with a slightly different name. Everything else is the same. Apart from the amount of cookbooks I own that is, I've had a serious cull. In 2022 I went through all of them and ditched any that I knew I would realistically never use. While I haven't stopped buying cookbooks I'm trying to be a little mindful before I do, asking if I really need or want it.
Not a blog that will be regularly updated, just whenever I try out a new recipe from a book, magazine, or internet. It could be one a month, one a year, or nothing for several years. I make no promises, it's just an 'as & when' situation. I'll share the source, show how it was made, and give my verdict. If it's a total disaster I'll share that too.
You can find my original food blog [HERE], it's also linked in the sidebar.
None of "my" recipes will be shared, you know the sort of thing: how I make a casserole, roast dinner, quiche. Things that we all have in our armoury and make often and in our own way. This is exclusively for recipes followed.
